Executive Director Search

The NACBS is looking for a new Executive Director to begin on June 1. The post would be for an initial term of three years, renewable upon review, and compensated by a course release or the equivalent, to be negotiated. The Executive Director acts as a liaison between the elected Executive Committee and regional leadership, Cambridge University Press, and external partners to coordinate the NACBS annual conference and other NACBS programming. The Executive Director will also work directly with the NACBS Media Director and the membership in order to channel professional concerns and advocate for British Studies in a broader public sphere. As the public face of the organization, the Executive Director will actively work to expand the compass of the North American Conference on British Studies. Applicants for the position should be confident in their organizational skills, and excited to learn more about the operation of our organization as well as the logistics of organizing a national conference event.
