Thomas R. Metcalf (1934-2026)

Thomas R. Metcalf, distinguished scholar of the social, political, and cultural history of the British Empire and colonial South Asia, passed on June 18, 2026.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Albany at a time to be announced.
