Distinguished Service Award
Description
The NACBS Distinguished Service Award rewards outstanding service that advances the NACBS mission or fosters a more connected and vibrant intellectual community. The award recognizes an NACBS member who has contributed significantly to the strength and vitality of our organization and/or the larger community of British Studies. Presented biennially, the prize can honor a particular contribution, or a sustained period of elevated service that advances our organization and community. The award consists of a plaque and recognition at our annual meeting.
Instructions
Eligibility
All NACBS members are eligible to receive this award, regardless of geographic location or career phase. Current members of the executive committee are not eligible.
Application Instructions
Nominations should include a brief explanation (no more than 500 words) of the nominee’s service to either the NACBS organization or our scholarly community. When making a nomination through the nomination form, upload this explanation as a PDF file. The file must be named as follow: (PrizeName_NomineeLastNameFirstName).
