I am interested in putting together a panel on digital scholarship projects, any time period or sub-field of British studies. My own digital project concerns early 17th C piracy and captivity. I would also be open to a blend of scholarship and pedagogy with digital humanities.
I am looking to join or create a panel on empire and law/legal reform; my own topic is 19th century.
Hi Paul - I would be keen to chat about this. I am working on a project on cases of unnatural sex in the Canadian colonies between 1810 and 1870, so could see something like this working... JH
Hi all,
We are four PhD students based in the South West of England (Universities of Exeter and Bristol) looking for someone who would like to chair a roundtable on the theme of Britain and Europe. The panel aims to explore how British intellectual circles imagined a British identity and culture distinctive from that of the European continent. Our papers cover different periods of time, from 17th century warfare to European integration in the post-WWII period. We are currently finalising our abstracts and will find a more catchy panel title. But above all, we need to find a chair and have exhausted our options in the UK to no avail. If you would be interested in chairing, please get in touch with me (Frederic Worthington, fw393@exeter.ac.uk).

Great! How about writing to me at cschen@buffalo.edu and we can start talking about an abstract and another panelist and chair.
