Looking for a commenter/chair for panel, "Latin American Entanglements in the British Empire"

We are a three-person panel titled "Latin American Entanglements in the British Empire", looking for a commenter or chair for our Montreal 2025 submission. However, we are totally happy with a non-commenting chair, especially considering the late request. The three papers include: a study of the influence of Brazilian plantation agriculture in colonial Sri Lanka, a comparison/contrast between the Latin American influences in the Royal Horticultural Society and the Agricultural and Horticultural Society of India, a study of reactions to the Cuban Revolution in the British press.

Looking for a panel on Britain and European Integration

I was hoping to present a paper on the Labour Committee for Europe and its effort to win over trade unions to the cause of British membership in the EEC, 1969-1973 but have been unsuccessful in finding other panelists. If interested please email me directly at chris.frank@umanitoba.ca

Britishness/late 20th century/cultural history/material history

Hello Everyone - I am looking for two co-panelists whose papers relate to cultural history and Britishness in the mid to late 20th century. My work centers on late 20th and early 21st century dress and fashion history specifically how the designers Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen were critical to developing fashion as cultural capital and a measure of global influence for Britain. My paper for 2025 focuses on Vivienne Westwood and punk in the 1970s.

I can be reached at mrashba@bu.edu  Thank you!

Panel: Gender/Sexuality and/or Temporality in the British Empire

I'm hoping to solicit papers that explore gender, sexuality, temporality (or some combination of them!) in the British Empire.

Temporally open! My work is on the long eighteenth century, and it would be interesting to either discuss different case studies within that century or to get a range of temporal foci.

Feel free to contact me at jzimmerman1@butler.edu
