Food panel
Hi folks,
I'm starting a new project on British instructional television cooking programming and the remaking of British taste from the postwar period to the present, and am looking to put together a panel on food, culture and media (or just about food broadly, potentially).
If interested or have questions drop me a line at tsojka@albertus.edu

Just as a quick follow-up, I have had an expression of interest Elizabeth Schmidt (UCSB), who is willing to contribute a paper related to food in the 18th century (tracing ginger, pineapples, and turtles in English cookbooks, and am particularly interested in the way that they are positioned as "West Indian" commodities in those published contexts while not necessarily familiar commodities for individuals). Additionally, Jennifer Regan-Lefebvre has been in touch as a potential chair/commentator.
It would be great to get another paper (potentially related to the 19th century to tie us together chronologically). Please reach out if you are interested! (tsojka@albertus.edu)
